  • 🌟 California’s Demand Side Grid Support Program Reaches 500 MW of Capacity! 🌟 🚨 Over 500 megawatts (MW) of electricity resources are now enrolled in one of the world’s largest storage virtual power plants, providing crucial backup power during extreme events. Thanks to the Demand Side Grid Support (DSGS) program, California stabilized its grid during four heatwaves this summer, leveraging clean energy assets to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. 🌞⚡ ✅ Launched in 2022, the DSGS program incentivizes Californians to reduce electricity usage or contribute energy back to the grid during high-demand events. With over 265,000 participants and a 200+ MW storage virtual power plant, we’re building a clean, reliable energy future for California. 💡 As the impacts of climate change intensify, programs like DSGS offer a critical buffer, ensuring reliability while reducing emissions. 🙌 Participants can even earn $2 per kilowatt-hour of energy shared with the grid! 🔗Learn more: https://bit.ly/3U63MKg #CleanEnergy #DemandResponse #ClimateAction #EnergyGrid #CalEnergy #RenewableEnergy #CEC

  • 📢California State Treasurer's Office announced a $30M agreement with ⚡ #CalEnergy to expand GoGreen Financing. This program helps make home energy efficiency upgrades (heat pumps, electric appliances, solar panels + batteries, EV chargers, and efficient lighting) more affordable for Californians.💡      👀 Read the news here: https://bit.ly/3YlJT4j    GoGreen Financing lowers homeowners' borrowing costs by encouraging lenders to offer lower rates: it uses funding from CalEnergy to create a loan loss reserve to cover participating lenders if a borrower defaults. Participating lenders can offer lengthier payback terms, and approve a broader base of borrowers for energy upgrade loans.     Homeowners may borrow for upgrades to a single-family home, townhome, condo, duplex, triplex, fourplex, or manufactured home.     📘 Read more about the program, here: bit.ly/4f3Q2rf
