Huge thanks to all who attended the 2024 Disaster Planning Conference to strengthen #EmergencyPreparedness at California hospitals. Event highlights included: The Joint Commission delivered! Opening keynote Angela Murray, MSN RN, provided guidance on survey readiness and a top 10 list of violations regularly encountered. Breakout sessions gave attendees the opportunity to select from #EmergencyPreparedness topics to help hospitals navigate any emergency — from pediatric patient surge preparedness to power outage protocols. Rachel Lehman of ASPR TRACIE closed the conference with a keynote presentation on #DisasterPlanning resources available to CHA members through an easy-to-use app. Attendees are saying: “This conference provided something for everyone in disaster preparedness planning, including opportunities for those who are newer to the field to meet veterans who are willing to share their knowledge.”
