Today was the fifth annual United Water Conservation District Water Sustainability Summit. Speakers provided project updates and discussed collaborative approaches for solving water issues in Ventura County, which included an update from Calleguas GM Kristine McCaffrey on the Water Resources Implementation STrategy (WRIST). The WRIST process is based on cooperation and communication among stakeholders to ensure a more resilient water future for Ventura County. Thanks to the United WCD staff and Board for hosting this important event.

The event included a panel discussion with MWD Board Chair Adán Ortega Jr. and Assemblymember Steve Bennett, moderated by Calleguas GM Kristine McCaffrey, P.E., where they discussed regional and statewide water issues.
