Curious what the team's working on this month? (Besides our spooky costumes 🎃👻) Earlier this week, Haris shared that one of his biggest complaints about #HRtech is it isn't built to be multiplayer—that is, it's built just for HR teams, not as a collaborative space for all stakeholders. And that ties in well with what we're focusing on this month: Building a better process for headcount planning. Headcount Planning is a huge lift that, when done right, requires input from Finance, Executive Leadership, and other outside-HR stakeholders. Learn about some of the features we're adding and enhancing to make this process better than ever, now on the blog. (link in the comments👇)

When HR tools aren't collaborative—or built with other key players in mind—managing your workforce:  ⌛ Takes longer than necessary 👯 Becomes redundant & more manual 💧 Is less strategic & diluted Growing, modern businesses should be demanding more from their sofware "solutions." At the very least: 1️⃣ Collaborative features are a must. 2️⃣ They should integrate & play well with other tools. 3️⃣ Software should be flexible & customizable. 4️⃣ HR tools should empower manager and collaborators—even if they aren't on the People Team. 🔗 Find Haris Ikram's full thoughts on the topic using the link in the comments.

OpenAI put the "B" in Big News last week. 💰💰💰 They’ve been disrupting and leading the charge in more than just AI for a while now, and their fundraising announcement has us thinking about how this might (it definitely will) impact their employees. What does a huge valuation mean for compensation? What would a shift to for-profit change? Would switching from PPUs to traditional equity be a net positive? Haris Ikram compares equity vs. PPUs in our latest blog (link in the bio 🔗). 👇 We’d love to hear your thoughts on how an announcement like this could change the total rewards and equity conversation for OpenAI employees, AI companies, and anyone else. 👇

Generally speaking: A company announces a successful fundraise ➡️ Their valuation jumps. And what does that mean for their employees? There's no denying that cash is king, but when you play it right, investing your time into a company can have payoffs way bigger than salary alone. At CandorIQ, we've built a total rewards platform and partnered with companies like Carta to provide more equity visibility for employees, their managers, and HR leaders. In our latest blog we breakdown some of the most common questions employees have about equity compensation: 🙋♀️ What is it? 🙋 Is it worth it? 🙋♂️ When does it pay off? Give it a read and pass it along to someone who would find it helpful! (🔗 Link in comments.)

Alex Seiler just stopped by our booth at #HRTech and reminded us it's HR Appreciation Day—how appropriate! This week in Vegas has only grown our team's appreciation for the HR practitioners we get to partner with and build product for. It's all too often a thankless field that requires engrained empathy, resourcefulness, and a master's degree in spreadsheets (kidding, kind of...). We're grateful for all the partners, clients, and friends of CandorIQ who've made this conference a success. From the booth demos, to our happy hour, and all the great conversations in between—thanks for coming by! 🎉 Shonna Waters, PhD Elisa Johnson, ICF ACC Alex Seiler Jennifer Jacobson Gail C.
