In this month’s Faces of Careforth spotlight, we’re talking all things digital with Director of Digital Solutions Mike Staron! Mike joined Careforth 8 years ago and says he’s always been drawn to meaningful work. “My goal is to listen to the people around me and help them do their best every day. That leads to the development of a high-quality experience that helps us reach more caregivers and collect better data to make our next iteration even better.”    To learn more about Mike’s leadership within Careforth and how he supports family caregivers, read our fourth Faces of Careforth installment ➡ https://lnkd.in/eQBV77Qe

At the beginning of September, we polled our audience to find out how many knew someone impacted by Alzheimer's disease. The results speak for themselves. 93% of our audience answered "yes," showing how wide-reaching the impacts of Alzheimer's disease can be for family, friends, and loved ones. Tomorrow is World Alzheimer's Day, an opportunity to raise awareness and promote the importance of investing in research about this disease that hits home for so many. Do these results surprise you? #WorldAlzheimersDay #ENDALZ

We're excited to announce that Careforth is expanding its family caregiving services to include 31 additional counties in North Carolina! With this addition, Careforth's services are now available in 71 total counties state-wide. We are currently serving hundreds of caregivers across the state and are excited to extend our support to many more. Careforth's services support caregivers of adults aged 18-64 with disabilities, seniors aged 65 and older through the CAP/DA program, and caregivers of medically fragile and medically complex children aged 0-20 through the CAP/C program. “We understand that providing care for a loved one at home–whether it’s your spouse, parent, child, or friend–can be physically and emotionally demanding. With over one million family caregivers in North Carolina, our team is already in place to provide the support and connections needed most to more families across the state.” - Matt Marek, Careforth President and CEO With this significant expansion, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting the vital role of caregivers across North Carolina. Careforth is dedicated to ensuring that families have the resources and assistance they need to provide the best possible care for their loved ones at home.
