Carelon Behavioral Health uses a predictive analytics-driven suicide prevention program to identify members at risk for a suicidal event, often catching them an average of five months before an attempt. Member Megan Phipps knows firsthand how valuable this life-saving program is, and tells her story along with Dr. Jessica Chaudhary, who created the program in 2018. By leveraging telephonic case management, the program includes clinical case managers and peer support specialists working together to prevent suicidal attempts, reduce emergency and inpatient utilization, and achieve positive health outcomes. Listen to Megan’s story.
