Serving the Cargill Associates team for over 20 years, we are thrilled to introduce Kurt Appel, D. Min., Group Vice President. Kurt has seen just about everything when it comes to church capital campaigns. As an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church, Kurt has spent over 25 years in full-time ministry serving large and small membership churches. With his background in church development and experience in the local church, he particularly specializes in helping churches become disciple-making congregations. Kurt and his wife Claudia have been married for 35 years and have three adult children and two grandchildren. Kurt is a New Orleans Saints fan, loves to read books by James Lee Burke, is an avid golfer with a high handicap, and enjoys being off the grid. #CargillAssociates #vicepresident #experience #congregation

With more than 26 years of experience in pastoral ministry, Eddie Rester is the newest president of Cargill Associates. In his role as president, Eddie will work with churches to determine their needs and how we can best partner with them. Eddie's main focus right now are Congregational Readiness Assessments, Capital Campaigns, and Annual Generosity Campaigns. Joining the team in March, Eddie has stepped into this role leaning into his deep passion for seeing churches work innovatively and effectively. Through his vision and leadership, Eddie is ready to enable congregations to further their mission and reach. Living in Oxford, Mississippi, Eddie is husband to Audra, and they have two adult daughters.
