The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching is committed to solving longstanding inequities in educational outcomes. At EdLeader21, hosted by Battelle for Kids, Carnegie's David Sherer (Director, Future of Assessment) presented on our Skills for the Future Partnership with ETS and the collaborative work we are doing to redefine student assessment. Engaging with five pilot states— Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin—allows us to focus on real-world applications and gather stakeholder feedback. Through this initiative, we’re developing tools that help educators measure what matters most, making assessments relevant and effective for today’s learners.
