The Casino Del Sol Human Resources Team had an awesome outing attending the University of Arizona Wildcats Women's Softball Game vs. the University of Oregon. Yvonne "THE ROCKET" Flores had the honor of throwing out the first pitch! She represented us well! HR Recruiters Ayesha Garcia and Laura Gastelum were seen giving Yvonne a pep-talk before the game. Thank you, Yvonne and the whole HR Team! #HR #Wildcats #UniversityofArizona

I am so excited to be speaking at Creative Mornings Tucson's February event!
We’re SO EXCITED to introduce our speaker for February’s theme Native, Lesah Sesma-Gay. Save the Date! Join us on Feb 23, 2024 at 8:30am at the iconic Fox Tucson Theatre for a morning of inspiration with Lesah. Meet our friend and creative, Lesah Sesma-Gay-- Growing up on a farm in the middle of cotton fields, I was sure my life was always going to include gathering chicken eggs, riding goats and feeding pigs. As the family grew, more cousins came along and I instantly built my empire. I have always had a knack for leading, always taking control of adventures, play time and work. From the farm to the classroom, I challenged myself and my cousins to do the same. I am a first-generation college student, the first of 40 grandchildren to graduate. The resilience of my Mexican Indian family shows in every action, in every breath. I am the dream that was dreamt long ago, the generational change that both my nanas tirelessly prayed for. As a proud member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, it is important to me to be a role model by opening doors and showing emerging leaders that they can reach for the stars. My resilience and determination have enabled me to forge a path to inspire so many more to follow. At Casino Del Sol I am one of two General Managers, I am the first female tribal member in an executive role and the most senior female tribal member in the organization. Register for the February event today! https://lnkd.in/dCdAfChJ Video by our amazing volunteer & creative: Fabian Tejada, MFA #whyilovewhereilive #creativemornings #cmevents #cm_tucson #tucsoniscreative #cmnative
We are thrilled to report that two of the Casino Del Sol HR team attended the highly praised 14TH ANNUAL NATIVE AMERICAN HUMAN RESOURCES CONFERENCE AND HR LEADERSHIP SUMMIT at Pechanga Casino Resort. We can't wait to see these two HR Leaders put into practice what they learned at the conference! They heard the latest trends shaping the future of Human Resources and networked with many Tribal HR Departments. Aside from the tremendous networking opportunities, they attended educational break-out sessions, heard inspirational keynotes, and most importantly, expanded their professional development! We are proud and excited for Angie Cruz Alvarez-Assistant HR Director, and Laura Yucupicio- HR Supervisor who represented us well at the conference!
