We are so excited to announce an upcoming event just for women! Glow & Grow: A Women's Health Retreat is a three-day event created by Cass Health. This retreat is all about empowering women to prioritize their well-being, embrace self-care, and create a healthy future by connecting you to Cass Health professionals who can answer your questions and provide your care. Each night we'll focus on a different age & stage of life -- so that you can attend the one night that's right for you! 💚 Tuesday, September 3: This night is geared to women in their 20s and 30s, and our keynote speech will be given by Dr. Autumn Keiser. 💚 Wednesday, September 4: This night is geared to women in their late 30s and 40s, and our keynote speech will be on perimenopause by Dr. Marcela Pineda. 💚 Thursday, September 5: This night is geared to women in their 50s and beyond, and our recorded keynote speech will be about lifestyle medicine by Dr. Emily Chang. Your $15 ticket includes dinner, program materials, and a special gift. Each evening is scheduled from 5 pm to approximately 9 pm, and the agenda includes keynote speakers, dinner and dessert, vendor booths, PLUS presentations each night about skincare, nutrition, pelvic floor health, and postural strength training. We'll also have a few wellness activities to get you up and out of your chair! You'll connect with like-minded women, learn from our team, and discover new ways to grow on your health journey. 🎉 Please help us welcome Dr. William Rizk to Cass Health! Dr. Rizk is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon who specializes in weight loss surgery, and he has been performing laparoscopic weight loss surgeries since 2002. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons (ASMBS) and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Rizk will perform sleeve gastrectomies, also known as gastric sleeve surgeries, at Cass Health beginning this fall. Patients interested in learning more are invited to come to a free educational class on the surgery on Tuesday, July 9th at 6:00 at Cass Health. Reservations are required; sign up online at casshealth.org/weightloss. Questions can be directed to our Program Coordinator at 712-243-7535; patients are also encouraged to talk with their primary care provider about the surgery and referrals.

⭐Employee Spotlight⭐ Meet Jessie! Jessie is a Pharmacy Technician in our Retail Pharmacy. Tell us a little bit about your role at Cass Health. I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the retail pharmacy. I assist the pharmacists in filling prescriptions, maintaining inventory for prescription medications, over the counter medications, as well as DME (durable medical equipment) billing. What is your favorite food item from the Cass Health cafeteria? Just one??? We have an amazing cafeteria! I love breakfast so I’ll go with biscuits and gravy. Playlist or podcast? Most definitely a playlist! I have a playlist or 2 for every activity! Roses or Tulips? Tulips, they signify that winter is over and spring is here! Would you rather always be tired or always be too energetic? I’m already always tired, so too energetic would be a nice change of pace! Would you rather live in summer forever or winter forever? This is tough, I don’t like to be hot or cold. Summer if we have the early summer temps! What is the best present you have ever received? Best present ever is my twin boys almost 21 years ago!
