CCH has been conducting presentations throughout September with our residents to discuss Proposition 5 and how it can support building and preserving more communities like theirs. Our residents at Jefferson Street in Napa and Sycamore Place in Brentwood gathered to learn more last week. Our seniors are active, engaged, and civic participants in their communities!

The California Housing Partnership is proud to announce that Gov. Gavin Newsom signed two of our sponsored bills, AB 1053 and AB 2926, today in San Francisco. AB 1053 authorizes California Department of Housing & Community Development to make certain types of state funding available to housing providers during the construction period, thereby saving millions of dollars in interest charges. AB 2926 strengthens the State Preservation Notice Law and should dramatically reduce the loss of affordable rental homes in California. The Partnership thanks Assemblymembers Jesse Gabriel & Ash Kalra for their leadership in authoring these bills, the members of the Legislature who voted to approve them, our partners who helped advocate for them and the Governor for signing them.
