In the wake of the recent fires in Los Angeles, we are incredibly proud of volunteers across ten sectors of Compass Group USA including team members and residents from communities that CCL supports, for coming together to make a difference. Special thanks to Rebecca Waits, CCL Director of Dining Services, and residents of Redwood Terrace for supporting at a local level by hosting their own supply drive. Through a joint effort, the volunteer efforts helped to collect, sort, and pack over 40,000 pounds of produce for fire victims across LA County. A huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers for your dedication and compassion to those impacted by the devastating LA fires. Every action, big or small, makes an impact!

A safe and comfortable home for everyone: As we age, finding a place that feels like home and keeps us safe becomes even more important. It is important to be in an environment that not only provides the best care but also that creates a sense of belonging and comfort. We believe in creating a space where everything from the food to the daily operations support the well-being of those who call it home, to inspiring comfort and pride in your community. What are some things that make a place feel like home to you?

What are your goals and resolutions for 2025? At CCL, we prioritize an active and vibrant lifestyle for the communities we serve and the incredible teams that make it all possible. Every year, we launch our Wellness Challenge, a company-wide initiative designed to support the well-being of our team members. While we focus on creating exceptional experiences for our residents, investing in the health of those who bring our mission to life every day is just as important. Through daily walks, fitness goals, and fun challenges, our teams come together to nurture both their physical and mental well-being. It’s a way to strengthen relationships, create positive habits, and emphasize a person-centric approach in our operations. In senior living, it’s clear: prioritizing wellness isn’t just about fitness—it’s about building connections, staying engaged in passions, and embracing a lifestyle that supports growth and happiness. So, as we look to 2025, let's make it the year of health, adventure, and well-being—for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.

At CCL Hospitality Group, we’re redefining dining in senior living by embracing personalization. With more options than ever before, residents can enjoy meals designed to fit their health requirements or simply choose from a wider variety of fresh, local ingredients. For memory care patients, dining goes beyond just nutrition—it becomes a vital part of their daily routine that fosters connection and a sense of calm. Structured dining with familiar surroundings helps reduce confusion and anxiety, ensuring residents feel secure. Programs like our MemoryFare utilize culinary aromas, like the scents of freshly baked bread, to stimulate appetites and evoke memories. By focusing on individual needs and creating a calming, engaging environment, we’re making mealtime both nutritious and enjoyable for all residents. #CCLHospitalityGroup #PersonalizedDining #MemoryCare

Speaking of traditions, what do you do to make this season memorable? The holiday season is in full swing, and the heart of many traditions is found in the kitchen! Whether it’s rolling out dough, sprinkling sugar, or sharing stories, holiday baking creates more than treats—it builds memories that connect us to our roots and loved ones. Baking together is about more than recipes; it’s about quality time, shared laughter, and even family history. How often do we hear, “Remember when grandma would bake her pies…”? These moments remind us of where we come from and help us create new traditions as life changes. Diane Collins, Clinical Nutrition Manager, shares ideas for celebrating food, family, and the simple joys that bring us together on this week’s Wellness Wednesday. Looking for ways to make your holiday memories extra special? Try these ideas: 🎨 Design Family Aprons: Have a craft day to make personalized aprons for your baking crew. 🥧 Share Dish Memories: Invite loved ones to bring a dish that connects to their childhood and share the story behind it. 📜 Recipe Boxes: Gift handwritten recipes from your family collection in a keepsake box. Add a new recipe each year for a tradition that keeps growing! What are your favorite holiday kitchen traditions? Share them below! 👇 #Holidays #WellnessWednesday
