Yesterday, the Women of Dover hosted a special celebration to officially name the newly designed nursing suite at our home office, the “Nancy Suite.”
Driven by a desire to create a nurturing space for new mothers, this project was led by Alexandra Ricci, Corporate Counsel, after she attended a continuing education course on updated workplace legislation for nursing parents.
“I realized we had an opportunity to go above and beyond for our new parents,” said Aly. “This became a passion project for Women of Dover as we aimed to provide an environment where birthing parents feel supported, comfortable, and nurtured.”
Partnering with Erin Hellmann, Senior Vice President of Dover Development and resident designer, the team created a serene, spa-like space with soft lighting and comfortable seating.
To honor someone with a legacy in healthcare, particularly in infant care, Aly reached out to the Cedarhurst communities. That’s when she found Nancy Partridge, a resident at Cedarhurst of Des Peres. Nancy’s life of service, from her time in the Air Force to her work on the GYN floor at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, has touched countless lives, making her the perfect namesake for this meaningful space.
The Nancy Suite is just one of many goals for Women of Dover this year. The group was created to provide more opportunities for professional development, growth, and connection.
“We are committed to engaging, inspiring and encouraging women at the Dover Companies,” said Aly. “Our focus is to elevate female voices, share advice, and provide tools and resources to advance our careers.”
Additional events this year will include mentorship, leadership advice, and skill-building sessions to foster career growth.
