George Mason University – Costello College of Business' Greg and Camille Baroni Center for Government Contracting Executive Director Jerry McGinn, Ph.D. spoke with Joe Gould for POLITICO's Morning Defense newsletter about his newest report that sounds the alarm for government and industry leaders that the US defense industrial base is not prepared for a major international conflict. The report lays out a new national strategy for mobilizing the defense industrial base by identifying seven key elements of mobilization. To formulate this new mobilization strategy, Jerry examined four case studies of previous mobilization efforts including World War II and the Covid-19 pandemic.
