We had fun! Last week, we hosted the Scrubs Camp at CentraCare Plaza, where several dozen high school students from central Minnesota explored careers in emergency medical services, imaging, nursing, sleep, dietetics, and respiratory therapy. They performed intubations, applied tourniquets, carried out neuro checks, monitored blood pressure, administered CPR, practiced giving injections, and much more! Thanks to St Cloud Technical and Community College 👏

We're grateful for Dr. Holmen's tenacious spirit, strategic planning, and vision that will make a local medical school a reality next year.
We recognize CentraCare as a member invested in the Granite Funds, and we celebrate Dr. Ken Holmen, whose steadfast support of a new medical school in St. Cloud will enable health and wellbeing into the future. CentraCare’s roots trace back to the Sisters of the Order of St. Benedict, who founded the St. Cloud Hospital in 1886 and later gifted this major asset to our community. With the addition of more hospitals and clinics, CentraCare now serves the healthcare needs of people in Central and Greater Minnesota. Early in his tenure, Dr. Holmen shared his vision for a local medical school. After building support for nearly a decade, the University of Minnesota Medical School CentraCare Regional Campus in St. Cloud is coming soon. The school will graduate physicians to practice across Greater Minnesota and serve a large share of Granite Company team members and their families.
