Our recent work to improve mental health care access includes: • We are incorporating a new rapid access model to provide short-term interventions, ensuring patients receive timely care. • We offer the Crisis Immediate Assessment program, which allows clinicians to request immediate support from a behavioral health consultant for patients experiencing a mental health crisis. • Participating in #NAMIWalks (pictured) to encourage open discussion of mental illness, raise money for future advocacy work and learn where our colleagues and community members find joy. Today is World Mental Health Day. Let’s Make It OK to talk about mental health and illnesses so everyone feels safe and empowered to get the support and care they deserve.

Our Institute’s Pregnancy and Child Health Research Center addresses the well-being and health of pregnant people, children and families. This October, community members can learn more about how our research drives improved outcomes for reproductive, perinatal and child health.
