Central Florida Education Ecosystem Database | Turning Insights into Impact for Central Florida Students

About us

The Central Florida Education Ecosystem Database is a model of collaborative data sharing among Central Florida pre-kindergarten through university public educational institutions created to identify factors that inform decisions and interventions to increase success, outcomes, and opportunities for all students. Vision: Central Florida’s school districts, including Osceola County and Orange County Public Schools, have joined forces with Valencia College and the University of Central Florida (UCF) to create an educational partnership in Orlando. Aimed at enhancing student success from pre-K through higher education, this collaborative initiative, known as the Central Florida Educational Ecosystem Database (CFEED), focuses on improving higher education accessibility and boosting graduation rates. Aligned with the legislative goal of “Sail to 60,” the ecosystem aims to ensure that 60% of high school graduates earn a post-secondary credential, a target that far exceeds current achievement levels. To reach this milestone, CFEED is implementing data-driven strategies and interventions across the entire educational journey of students, which are intended to guide operational changes and support student success. Solution: Midtown Consulting Group (MCG) has developed an AI-powered data solution on the Microsoft Azure platform, based on MCG’s reference architecture model. This advanced, cloud-based system combines and analyzes multiple data from partner sources to deliver valuable predictive insights and recommended actions. This is helping educators find new ways to measure student readiness and needs across the PK-20 journey. Outcome: MCG’s efforts led to the development and operational usage of the Central Florida Educational Ecosystem Database (CFEED) platform, which boasts a cloud-based data warehouse, a top-tier research team, an extensive portfolio of research, and the creation of student interventions.
