It's #NationalFirstRespondersDay and we're thankful for all those who keep us safe. A special thank you as well to our employees in these pictures and our CMP lineworkers who are typically among the first on emergency scenes making downed wires safe when the weather is at its worst.
About us
Central Maine Power (CMP) was founded in 1899 and today serves approximately 653,170 electricity customers in an 11,000 square-mile service area in central and southern Maine. At CMP, we've always been dedicated to the communities we serve, and strive daily to provide safe, reliable service to customers. That's why we provide more than electricity. We spearhead conservation efforts, encourage economic growth, assist area businesses and fund important charity organizations through established and often one-of-a-kind programs.

We’re excited to announce we were awarded $31.8 million in federal funding to deploy innovative technologies that support the deployment of #renewableenergy in Maine! This grant was awarded through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) program and is funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. These initiatives are being driven at the state-level in Maine by the Flexible Interconnections and Resilience for Maine (FIRM) project, led by the Governor’s Energy Office, part of the administration of Governor Janet Mills. As #CustomerServiceWeek continues, meet Adam a manager in our Customer Service Department! When asked about what makes his role special, Adam said "Helping our customers is like helping your neighbor, we all live and work in Maine. When you can engage with customers at local events, fairs, or anything of the sorts it is such a great experience." When not working, Adam can be found out and about spending time with his family and friends. Thank you, Adam, for your passion for serving our customers, we are so proud to have you on our team! #MainersHelpingMainers
