What would compel hundreds of excited people to bolt into the frigid Atlantic in the dead of winter? As is often the case, it’s to support a great cause. Here’s why more than 85 Eversource employees and their families will be joining the Special Olympics New Hampshire Penguin Plunge this weekend in Hampton, NH.

When he's not working to keep power flowing to our customers, you can find Brian Turco hosting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation 5K in Bridgeport. As winter temps dropped to bitter cold, our team visited the United Way of Tri-County Pearl Street Cupboard & Café at Park to serve up hot meals to more than 100 of our neighbors. Our volunteers also helped to restock shelves and bag groceries for local families.

A proud resident of New London, our Meter Service Mechanic Roberto Garcia is serving his neighbors when he's dispatched from our Waterford work center to ensure public safety during emergencies and while supporting our everyday work to maintain our natural gas system. “I moved to New London when I was 8 years old and I have a lot of family here, so working close to home was a huge appeal for me.” Read more of Roberto's story: http://spr.ly/6043xNgm1
