With 31 member milk banks under the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA), mothers have the unique opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of infants who need it the most. The Ceres Chill team gathered in sunny San Diego for our annual company retreat! 🌞 As a fully remote team (except for our hardworking warehouse crew), this time together is so valuable. Our remote structure allows us to prioritize work-life balance, flexibility, and the unique needs of every member of our team—empowering us to bring our best selves to work to support all of YOU! It’s always great to connect in person, share ideas, and plan for the future of Ceres Chill.

Yesterday was so beyond incredible - thank you to all the moms who showed up to learn more about milk donation or share your donor stories! ♥️ I am inspired by you all every single day. A huge thank you to the UC Health Milk Bank for making this happen. Your team is so amazing and you all go above and beyond for families. The UC Health Milk Bank also conducts critically important research in this field to help us learn more about breastmilk and its capabilities. 🍼 It was so great to be with @pumpspotting and @gaulinlaw & @mariahealeywrites from the San Diego Chapter @chamberofmothers too! ♥️💪so cool to get all the epic people in one place! We can’t say thank you enough! We’ll continue to work together to support milk donor moms so that we can close the gap and make sure that we can provide donor milk to all babies who need it♥️

Breastmilk saves lives. That’s a fact. NICU moms often face challenges related to milk supply due to pre-term birth complications, stress, travel and lack of support. That’s also a fact. Because of this, donor milk is so so crucial to infants in the NICU. It helps protect them from terrible conditions like Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC), respiratory illnesses and more. It also helps them recover more quickly when they are sick. But we’re 160,000 ounces short of helping every NICU baby in need in the U.S. We can change this. Ceres Chill wants to help support all the moms that already donate, and help make the process easier for any mom who is able and willing to donate milk to a local milk bank. That’s why we started the Milk Saves Lives Initiative. Giselle's journey began in April 2020 when she became a first-time mom, navigating the complexities of breastfeeding. Her personal experiences inspired her to dedicate herself to helping other parents through education, support, and art. Through Blissful Mami, Giselle creates graphics that bring comfort and visibility to mothers everywhere. Our collaboration with Giselle is not only a celebration of her artistry but also a meaningful connection to her own breastfeeding journey.
