Join us Wednesday, October 9, for an evening of celebration, support, networking and discussion. We'll come together to build stronger community connections and improve maternal health outcomes through access to resources and knowledge. Barb has been zig-zagging the nation for nearly four months now, from milk banks and community centers, to parks and parent work outs. And this weekend, we're going big! Our roving baby-feeding oasis on wheels will serve as one of the official lactation stations at the Twin Cities Marathon! 🏃🏻♀️🍼🚌 This is the Feel Better, Feed Better Tour, and it's no secret that moving your body can do a lot to make you feel better! But as a new mom, it can be tough to keep up with the activities you loved before you welcomed your babe. There's so much to consider as a new parent, not the least of which is all of the logistics required to keep your tiny human fed. It's understandable that these logistics could be a barrier to a huge undertaking, like running a marathon! So we're excited to team up with our partners at Ceres Chill to "Free the Moms, Save the Milk." Ceres Chill will be providing their breastmilk storage thermoses to moms running in the race, and we'll be delivering them, full of precious liquid gold, to the finish line. Runners, spectators and families are invited on board The Breast Express to take a beat, connect with other parents, be introduced to products and resources that will simplify their lives as feeding parents and be uplifted by our team. This morning I’m posting my first ever LinkedIn video, discussing a timely and incredibly important topic. pumpspotting’s Feel Better, Feed Better Tour brought me together with Mothers' Milk Bank at Austin and Michele Kulhanek, MSN, RNC from Ceres Chill’s Scientific Advisory Board. They helped me better understand the life-saving impact I could have as a milk donor, and as of yesterday, I have been officially approved! This morning, Ceres Chill is with pumpspotting in San Diego, where they’re headed to the UC Health Milk Bank to host an event, celebrating superhero moms who are donors and who receive donor milk on behalf of their precious babes. This event will raise awareness for the milk bank, educate potential donors and celebrate those who are already giving life. The impact of this tour is massive, connecting mothers to their local resources so they can feel better to feed better. So they can thrive in their new roles as mothers. And so they can feel their absolute best doing it.

Happy National Working Parents Day from all of us at pumpspotting! To be a working parent, you've got to be tough as a mother. There's just one problem: it's tough for mothers. Being a working parent means juggling an endless list of responsibilities, carrying an intense mental load, managing stress and guilt, and somehow finding the time to do it all. For nursing mothers, it often means managing the added load that comes with pumping at work. It means: - remembering all of her pump parts - removing herself every 2-3 hours to express milk - labeling and storing milk - sanitizing parts between pumps - experiencing isolation and worry - struggling with supply - properly rotating milk - determining how much to thaw for the caretakers - fretting over milk being wasted - taking in enough healthy calories and water to maintain supply - managing an additional layer of scheduling Working parents need and deserve support. At pumpspotting, we're incredibly proud to provide resources to a vital segment of the workforce - new parents. And today (and every day) we're celebrating the working parents of the world!
