Charlotte Country Club has been chosen by the United States Golf Association (USGA) as the host site for the 2028 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship and 2033 U.S. Senior Open Championship. The club has previously hosted four USGA championships, including the 1972 U.S. Amateur, 2000 U.S. Senior Amateur, 2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur and 2018 U.S. Mid-Amateur.

We are incredibly proud of our members and team members who have come together to gather supplies and goods for our friends in Western Carolina, whose lives have been deeply affected by Hurricane Helene. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and worked tirelessly to organize this effort.

This Monday, our amazing team gathered at HopFly Brewing Co. for a fantastic outing. It was a perfect opportunity for everyone to mingle with colleagues from different departments, unwind, and recharge before the busy fall season. Thank you to all who attended and made this night truly memorable!

Executive Chef Laurent Pillard had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Community Culinary School of Charlotte (CCSC) and speak to a class of students. CCSC provides workforce development training and job placement assistance for adults who face barriers to long-term successful employment. Thank you for letting CCC be a part of your impactful organization!

Congratulations to our Team Member of the Quarter - Jelica Augustinovic! A long-standing team member of nearly 20 years, Jelica is a team member who can always be counted on to assist and support in any way possible. She always has a positive attitude and never has a bad day. We are so thankful for Jelica! Please take a minute to extend your congratulations!

Team Members were treated to a charcuterie board workshop with Executive Chef Laurent Pillard and chefs Sean You and Morgan Heneghan , CEC! They learned all about the components of a top-tier board, including the best meats, crackers/breads, cheeses, and different accoutrements. This workshop is part of CCC's Minds in Motion Monthly Education Sessions that we provide to our team on varying topics. So far, we've hosted workshops on crafting, financing, gardening, cupcake making, and more!

Assistant Clubhouse Manager, Samantha Brookshire, and Food and Beverage Manager, Katie Gallagher, both passed their Level 1 Court of Masters Sommelier Certification. This included two days of intense education followed by an extensive exam. Please congratulate both Katie and Sam the next time you see them at the club! Did you know we have five Level 1 Sommelier’s on our team? Quinn Moe, CCM, DeMichael Givens, Katelyn Sapp, Samantha Brookshire, and Katie Gallagher all have this designation. We are thrilled to have a team that is so passionate about wine.

The Club Management Interns put on a 'Holidays in July' event this past week! Tied into the event was our annual Back to School Drive, where the school supplies were donated to Classroom Central. This is a great opportunity for the interns to give back to the local community, practice F&B and event skills they learned throughout the summer, and celebrate the team for their hard work this summer! Tatum Newberry, Eric H. Daley, and Carson Liebetrau did a great job coming together to create a team event from start to finish! Thank you for all your hard work 😊

We are honored to be part of the Mayor's Youth Employment Program (Charlotte, NC). This year, we have five interns (culinary, hospitality, and youth activities) spending their summer at the Club and learning about their respective industries. Thanks for letting us be a part of something so impactful!
