Make Change Ambitiously

About us

At Chief Change Officer, we believe in harnessing change as a superpower. A crucial element fueling this power is our role models—individuals who candidly and generously share their human intelligence. They bring everything to the table—wisdom, experiences, pains, and gains. This isn’t digitized knowledge or AI-generated advice—it’s real, time-tested, experience-driven intelligence, a blend of logic and heart. Our mission is to help you become wiser in action, clearer in thought, and more ambitious in pursuing the change you seek. This show marks my 18th career transition. Across my previous 17 transitions, I’ve been guided and inspired by countless role models, each one helping me emerge better, stronger, and happier with every change. Now, I’m here to pass that superpower on to you. In the past decade, I’ve published two Chinese-language career development books (both ranked in Amazon China’s Top 10), endorsed by leaders such as the CEO of Hillhouse Capital, the Deputy CEO of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and a Forbes Midas Top 10 Venture Capitalist. As a global speaker on the future of work, I’ve shared the stage with the CEOs of Udemy, Handshake, Degreed, Busuu, Vidyard, and iTutorGroup at over ten major tech conferences, including SXSW and Web Summit. Before entering the field of human transformation, I worked alongside Jeffrey Gundlach, the “Bond King,” at TCW Asset Management, managing billion-dollar funds for Fortune 100 companies. I’ve also held leadership roles at Deloitte, PwC, S&P Global Ratings, and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (the equivalent of the U.S. Federal Reserve). I am a dual MBA graduate of Yale University and Chicago Booth, with an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto.

The focus of this theme isn’t about changing your life just for the sake of it. It’s about making changes that are meaningful and sustainable. 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ Changing your life simply to escape a current problem without resolving it is just avoidance. Without a clear purpose and direction, and without addressing present issues and learning to manage them, you risk repeating past mistakes over and over. Chief Change Officer #MakeYourLawsofChange

Taking care of yourself isn't selfish. It's key for emotional intelligence. Try these 6 self-care routines and let me know how it goes: 1. 🚶♀️ Walk and talk meditations • Schedule 30-minute daily walks • Choose one topic to discuss deeply • Record insights on your phone after 2. 🍽️ Practice mindful eating • Eat without screens or distractions • Take three deep breaths before meals • Chew each bite 20 times 3. 🎯 Do one thing at a time • Close unnecessary browser tabs • Set 25-minute focused work blocks • Take 5-minute breaks between tasks 4. 📵 Get a second 'zen phone' • Keep only basic apps (calls, texts, maps) • Store main phone away during work hours • Check social media only at set times 5. 🤲 Practice loving kindness • Send good wishes to someone new each day • Take 5 minutes to meditate on others' happiness • Write one kind note weekly to someone unexpected 6. 🌿 Embrace impermanence • Start each day with "this too shall pass" • Release one possession weekly • Journal about changes you're grateful for These routines seem small, but they've had a big impact I'm more productive, balanced, and happier. And ironically, I'm achieving more by doing less. Which shift resonates with you? Make it part of your routine, try it for a week, and see what changes. Peace & Joy, Suren ♻️ Repost if this resonated with you! 🔖 Follow me (Suren Samarchyan) for more practical tips

Chris Hare, a strategic narrative advisor and coach who works with companies like Amazon and Microsoft, shares: 🌋 Stories Fuel the Narrative “In my mind, stories are time-bound: this happened, it started here, it ended there. 🤐 Storytelling is an overused term. Everyone calls themselves a storyteller. That’s why I decided to interview Chris Hare, a strategic narrative advisor and coach who works with companies like Amazon and Microsoft, guiding leaders and executives through his approach, Atomic Storytelling. His method? Breaking down complex stories into their core, resonant elements. 💠 Why Chris? Not just because we have mutual connections like Mary Shea, PhD and Waverly Deutsch, but because he brings both professional depth and personal realness. With a unique ability to see through his clients and himself, Chris uncovers the essence of what truly matters—to the subject and the listener. 👉 In this three-part series, we dive deep. From his expertise in shaping compelling corporate stories to exploring the nuanced relationship between story and narrative, from the best and worst stories he’s encountered to opening up about his own mental health journey, this conversation goes beyond the surface. He even shares powerful, self-administered exercises—and I’ll share my experience using one of them with insights from 50 friends to uncover my own superpowers. Today, we launch Part One. 1️⃣ Listen. ❌ Hosting a show is not about talking; it’s about listening. 🙉 A lot of hosts do not get that. Podcasting is way beyond technology that is commoditized and cheaply accessible. Driving discussion and discovering story underneath story takes deep work and trained mindset. 🔶 They must listen attentively and respond appropriately - no different from having a normal conversation with someone you know over coffee in person. 🔶 Be respectful of people’s goodwill in coming onto your show to share. 🔶 Be mindful of their viewpoints as one shaped by their experiences and approaches. 🔶 You don’t have to agree with all of the content. You carry on a conversation in which two or three mature individuals agree to disagree so that every angle matters. These are my advice derived not only from publishing 60 episodes in 8 months, but also from running panel discussion on global stages and from pitching for funding through getting grilled by investors in due diligence interviews.

The sooner people understand that top podcasters are not there to promote or challenge any specific person or cause, but simply to hold conversations for listeners to learn and form their own stance, the sooner they’ll see it’s not agenda-laden. It’s real. No fluff. I can’t tell you how often people ask me to do podcasts about something or with a certain person to either discredit them or build someone up. But that’s not how it works. We pick a topic, explore it, and bring on multiple guests with different perspectives.

🎨 It’s the season of changing leaves, with colors shifting from green to yellow to orange. Every day brings a new scene, a fresh vibe. We love the beauty of changing leaves and seasons—so why do we struggle with change itself? We often see change as a threat, an uncertainty, a risk. But I see it as a sign of growth, an opportunity to become more, a superpower. I may not have all the superpowers to guide you through change, but I’ve united voices that do. That's what this show #ChiefChangeOfficer is all about. These individuals generously share their human intelligence—candidly and openly—on my show. Every episode is free to listeners, wherever you are, whatever you do, no matter how your mind may be playing tricks on you. 🖼 🖼 🖼 Contact the host if you would like to contribute to this changing colours of life. To be honest, I still don’t fully understand how Spotify’s analytics work. Same goes for Apple Podcasts and most social media platforms—such a big black box 📦 Or maybe I just don’t have the genuine interest to dig deeper into it. 😊 That said, I’m happy that Spotify finally sent me this badge. It may only last for a day, but no matter—it’s a nice bit of encouragement. Thank you! Chief Change Officer | Make Change Ambitiously #podcast

For anyone in finance, insurance, or traditional industries: Alison made a successful leap from Corporate America into venture by networking on LinkedIn. Networking on LinkedIn for a real job is tough, especially with the lack of human connection. But Alison Stewart made it happen—she connected directly with the CEO of Overalls and discovered the COO opportunity. Three years later, she hasn’t looked back at her Corporate America days. 👣 The bold step she took during COVID has paid off, and Overalls is now making waves in the employee benefits space. The company is building a network of ‘life concierges’—stay-at-home parents, the underemployed, and retirees—who work with employers to help ease employees’ day-to-day stresses. Will this model boost employee loyalty or make people more willing to return to the office? Time will tell, but it’s certainly an idea worth exploring. 🚨 Season 5 ➕ Episode 2 🚨 Overalls COO Alison Stewart: Would You Let Your Employer Do Your Laundry? 👔 – Part Two https://lnkd.in/gDw-dPqp (Spotify) https://lnkd.in/g5qqD2GE (Apple) 🚥 🚥 🚥 🚥 🚥 Chief Change Officer | Make Change Ambitiously Global Rank Top 3% on Listen Notes 📈 World's #1 Career Podcast 🥇 Top 5 in Careers on Apple 🍎 🇺🇲🇨🇦🇲🇽🇮🇪🇭🇺🇦🇹🇨🇭🇫🇮🇸🇪🇬🇧🇫🇷🇩🇪🇹🇷🇱🇰🇮🇳🇲🇾🇯🇵🇦🇺 #MakeYourLawsOfChange #ChiefChangeOfficer #CareerTransitions #FutureOfCareers #CareerChange #FutureOfWork #Podcasts
