The World Bank estimates that 70% of children in underdeveloped nations are not able to read simple texts by age 10. Lacking access to critical resources such as computers, books or academic reinforcement assistance can cause them to fall behind their peers, without the support they need to catch up. Keep watching to see how together, we’re helping to break educational barriers and boost academic outcomes for tens of thousands of children like Loraine across the globe. 📖 https://ow.ly/80TM50TXwEk

We aim to create a world without poverty where every child, family and community is connected, productive and thriving.
About us
Children International is a top-rated global nonprofit that delivers child and youth development programming to break the cycle of generational poverty. Through a customized approach, we serve young people in Colombia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, India, Guatemala, Mexico, the Philippines, Zambia and the United States for the first two decades of their lives. We provide access to health care, education, positive role models, and the life and job skills they need to become gainfully employed. When equipped to improve their own lives, young people also transform their families and communities, and, as a result, multiply good in the world. Together, we can partner with children, youth and their families to change their lives – and shape the positive trajectory of future generations and communities. Want to be a part of this movement? Learn more at children.org. About half of those living in poverty are children, and we believe ending poverty starts with them. Without help, children in poverty become adults in poverty. Their future children are born into poverty, and the cycle continues. Together, we can put an end to generational poverty with a long-term, customized program that helps children get the education, life skills and confidence to change their lives – and the lives of future generations too. Our unique, global approach focuses on four key areas: Health, Education, Empowerment, and Employment. Want to be a part of this movement? Learn more at our website: children.org

Two of our program leaders- Jose Edgardo Rodriquez and Cesar Jacome Castro– presented Children International’s curriculum design model yesterday at the American Evaluation Association Conference. They shared how our staff around the globe are using fun and participatory processes to gather and incorporate perspectives and insights from caregivers, as well as from the children and youth we support. “We value their viewpoints, and this approach creates staff buy-in, due to hearing feedback firsthand,” says Cesar. “Elevating children, youth, and caregiver voices is important to Children International and helps us be more effective in implementing our program curriculum." #ChildrenInternational #EndPoverty #ChildAndYouthDevelopment #GlobalPrograms #Eval2024 #Evaluation

“Soap may be easy to obtain for many, but for families like ours, every penny counts. The free soap we received not only helps with our finances but also ensures our children stay clean and protected from diseases.” — Myra, mother to Zejay, Philippines. Thanks to our amazing partners Amazon and The WASH Foundation, an evolution of Clean the World Foundation, for contributing over 200,000 hygiene kits in the last two years, and to The WASH Foundation for providing 4 million bars of soap this year alone. Together, we’ve reached thousands of children and families in the Philippines and Zambia, helping these communities better protect themselves from communicable diseases like cholera. #GlobalHandwashingDay #CollectiveAction #WASH #MultiplyGood
