Many of our departments just returned from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) National Conference & Exhibition, and we really enjoyed connecting with attendees to exchange ideas and share the latest insights in pediatric care. Dr. Emily Miller, our Director of Perinatal Health Equity, Advocacy, and Policy, shared some key takeaways from the experience: civic engagement is associated with improved child health; partnering with families is critical to improving care; and Artificial intelligence technology will have a significant impact on patient management. Also during the conference, we're were thrilled to celebrate Wendy Pomerantz, MD, MS, who received the 2024 Fellow Achievement Award from the Council on Injury, Violence, and Poison Prevention. This prestigious award recognizes an AAP Fellow who has made an exceptional contribution to the field of injury, violence, and poison prevention. Join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved honor! #WeAreCincyKids
