We are proud to announce that Circle the City received two special recognitions at the 132nd Maricopa County Medical Society (MCMS) Oasis Gala. Our founder, Sister Adele O’Sullivan, CSJ, MD, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contributions to healthcare, particularly her dedication to serving individuals experiencing homelessness. Additionally, Circle the City was recognized with the Organizational Community Excellence Award, acknowledging our efforts in fostering community engagement and collaboration within healthcare and human services.     These awards highlight Circle the City's impact on our community, and we are grateful to MCMS for this recognition. At Circle the City, we are excited to be a partner of Public Allies Arizona a program of the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation. This year, we’re thrilled to welcome two Public Allies interns, along with an intern from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University to our team. These emerging leaders bring fresh perspectives and energy to our mission of providing compassionate healthcare to all individuals facing homelessness in Maricopa County.    Public Allies Arizona is a 10-month AmeriCorps program that places young leaders in nonprofit internships, offering them hands-on experience in the field. We are proud to be part of this effort to create a more just and equitable society by fostering diverse leadership in our community.    We look forward to working with our interns and continuing to build new partnerships that support leadership development and drive positive change. Last week, our team at Circle the City came together to host our first fall Women’s Wellness Event, continuing our mission of delivering compassionate care to women facing homelessness. Thanks to the incredible teamwork and dedication of everyone involved, the event was a success, and we were able to complete 20 breast cancer screenings and 11 cervical cancer screenings.   Our final Women’s Wellness Event of the year will be on 10/31 at the Downtown Family Health Center on the Keys to Change campus. We’ll have one of our mobile medical units, along with a mobile mammogram unit, ready to provide essential services once again.   We’re deeply grateful for the ongoing support of our partners, whose generosity allows us to host these events. As we move forward, we look forward to partnering with more organizations that share our commitment to breaking down barriers to care.   Thank you all for your hard work.
