We’re thrilled to announce Circular Sourcing is a recipient of the Country Road Group Climate Fund for 2024. Launched in 2022, the Country Road Group Climate Fund aims to support grassroots projects that mitigate climate change and build climate resilience. In its first three years, it will award a total of $1.5 million in grant funding. The funds will be used to create a designer toolkit known as the Circular Sourcing Surplus Guide, which will be open-source published. Funded in part by the Climate Fund grant, the guide will include an impact calculator created in collaboration with research partner RMIT University. The calculator will allow users to measure their waste savings generated through their usage of surplus compared with commissioning new materials. We’re so excited to see three wonderful projects funded including - Greening Australia, Mimal Women Rangers and RediRobots Read the full blog post here. Images by Country Road Group. Wonderful article with our Founder Courtney Holm discussing how we're tackling surplus textile waste. Thank you to Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) We especially loved hearing from two of our launch sellers Jillian Boustred and MTK Australia about their experience with selling surplus materials. "It has essentially allowed us to turn what was waste into a form of cashflow" - Circular Sourcing Seller, Jillian Boustred Read the full article - https://lnkd.in/gtQgiWPW

We were delighted to take first place at the Pitch Perfect: Community Competition hosted by Standard Ledger at The Commons. It’s great to see audiences resonate with the Circular Sourcing model that connects sellers with high-quality deadstock fabric to buyers, reducing the amount of fabric ending up in landfill or taking up valuable storage space, and creating an additional income stream for designers and fabric mills. We’re expanding our offering every day, and preparing for our next funding round in early 2024 so if you would like to connect as a seller, buyer or potential investor please reach out to Courtney Holm or visit https://lnkd.in/dyiB_Qqm

"...with Circular Sourcing we get what the fabric is worth, rather than just getting what we can." Kerry Pietrobon Harlow "It's very little work on our part. All we have to do is make sure we know how much fabric we’ve got. The rest is done from their end. We can adjust prices, adjust fabrics, and then we send it off."
