ICYMI, this week The New York Times spotlighted the federal government's efforts for processing citizenship requests at the fastest clip in a decade, moving through a backlog that built up during the previous administration and pandemic. Justicia Lab's free, flagship tool, Citizenshipworks, has helped over 60,000 legal permanent residents understand the naturalization process, apply for citizenship and access legal help from our partner network. When USCIS announced sweeping changes to the naturalization form earlier this year, our team pulled off an incredible feat of updating Citizenshipworks to incorporate these changes in just 63 days - in three languages! - to ensure we were ready on Day 1 to support current and new applicants using the new form. We strive to make applying for citizenship safer, simpler, and more affordable. 💡 Learn more about Citizenshipworks, here: https://lnkd.in/eRBMbtTn 🗞 You can read the New York Times article, “Immigrants Are Becoming U.S. Citizens at Fastest Clip in Years,” here: https://lnkd.in/efED7Ms2
