Yesterday, City Heights CDC announced our partnership with Kim Center for Social Balance to allow City Heights small businesses to tap into LEAPS, a data-driven program to help them increase their economic power. Participants will learn how to incorporate equitable practices that make sense for their daily operations. We're also thankful for support from Council President Sean Elo-Rivera, J.D. and San Diego Gas & Electric, who helped kickstart this effort. Approximately 60% of San Diegans work for a small business. City Heights is home to a diverse population and workforce and is an ideal location to demonstrate how equity helps workers thrive, which in turn generates greater profitability and sustainability for small businesses. We look forward to helping small businesses tap into their economic power with equity in mind.
