In recognition of #HispanicHeritageMonth, we’re featuring Miguel Lopez, CFRE, a local Latino leader and Senior Manager of Development at SDF. 🌟 In the “Meet Our Giving Team” blog series, Miguel talks about the importance of understanding our local communities to help donors and nonprofit partners address the most critical needs facing San Diegans. This focus also led to Miguel helping to create the El Camino Fund at SDF, which supports the local Latino/a community, close equity gaps and provide opportunities to thrive, prosper and belong in the San Diego region. Earlier today, SDF and the San Diego Regional Policy & Innovation Center teams came together for #VolunteerDay. This time with our community partner, Feeding San Diego, volunteering to help end hunger through food rescue. 🤝🥔 We spent the day gleaning plums and bagging potatoes, collecting 6,735 lbs of produce, which will provide food for 1,683 households across San Diego County. Thank you to #FeedingSanDiego for having us. It was a meaningful way to give back to our community. Stay tuned for an upcoming blog post, where we’ll share more details about the day.
