The Aurora City Council will meet tonight, Oct. 14, for a Study Session at 5:15 p.m. and a Regular Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Both meetings can be viewed at AuroraTV.org, Comcast Channels 8/880 or via the AuroraTV phone/streaming app. The public can attend the Regular Meeting in the Paul Tauer City Council Chamber at the Aurora Municipal Center, where a live stream of the Study Session will also be available. The public may comment for Public Invited to be Heard, or for a specific agenda item on the Regular Meeting agenda, by attending in person. Speakers have up to three minutes each to address council. Public Invited to be Heard is limited to one hour total, and comments for individual agenda items that are not public hearings are limited to a total of 30 minutes. Those wishing to speak during the Public Invited to be Heard portion must register in person with the City Clerk between 5 and 6:20 p.m. Those wishing to speak on specific agenda items must register online before 1 p.m. on the day of the meeting at https://lnkd.in/g6Y3r78S. If an agenda item is listed as a public hearing, speakers can either register online or submit a speaker slip to the City Clerk up until the agenda item is read. As part of the missing sidewalk initiative, Aurora is planning to fix, fill and widen the sidewalk network at three new locations in 2025: on Havana Street (from East Montview Boulevard to East 13th Avenue and from East Fourth Way to just north of East First Avenue) and along Yale Avenue (from South Peoria Street to South Xanadu Way).
