The City of Pittsburg is a culturally rich and diverse community of over 74,000 residents and expected to grow to 90,000 in the next 20 years. Tanner Pacific, Inc. (TPI) is excited to announce that the City of Pittsburg has launched its most significant infrastructure project in decades: a $47M water treatment plant improvement initiative. This complex project consists of the addition of five new filters and conversion of the gaseous chlorine system to a liquid hypochlorite system, marking a pivotal step in modernizing the city’s water treatment capabilities. The groundbreaking event, hosted by John Samuelson, the City’s Public Works Director, took place on September 27th. TPI is providing construction management for this project. TPI Construction Managers Mike Yeraka, PE, QSP and Masih Hamkar, CCM, PMP are working in close coordination with Project Manager and Assistant City Engineer, Dayne Johnson, and Jason Moser, the Water Treatment Plant Superintendent. Designed by engineering firm West Yost and constructed by Myers & Sons Construction, this initiative represents a significant investment in the city’s future.
