A big thank you to everyone who traveled Back to Our Future by attending yesterday's State of the City Address at Tattersall Distilling. Attendees heard about how the decisions that have been made throughout the City of River Falls' history have helped pave the way for a bright future. As Marty McFly reminded us in "Back to the Future," if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. Mayor Dan Toland and City Administrator Scot Simpson, ICMA-CM shared many examples of how this community has accomplished great things by putting its collective minds to it and working together to make River Falls a great place for current residents as well as future generations. If you weren't able to attend, the video replay of the address will be available soon on the City's YouTube channel.

Today at City Hall, we held a meet-and-greet with our newest Project SEARCH interns: Reagan, Dom, and Annie. Reagan's rotation has him working at City Hall, Dom is helping out at Public Works, and Annie is spending her internship at the River Falls Public Library. We're so thankful to continue our partnership with Project SEARCH, which started in 2022 when River Falls became the first local government in Wisconsin to participate in the transition-to-work program. Project SEARCH provides training and career exploration opportunities to young adults with disabilities during a one-year employment preparation program.
