    This month, the City of Saint Paul is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. This federal funding supports many projects across our community that build and preserve affordable housing, expand economic opportunities, and improve public facilities. Since 1994, over $362 million of CDBG funding has been invested in Saint Paul. #CDBGworks #CDBG50 Every five years, the City prepares a Consolidated Plan, which outlines the goals and objectives for the use of these funds. The process for the 2025-2029 Plan will kick off soon, so watch for upcoming opportunities for community engagement. Learn more at stpaul.gov/conplan.

    Today, the Saint Paul City Council voted unanimously to adopt zoning amendments that will improve development flexibility, support small businesses, and enhance neighborhood walkability along the East Grand Avenue corridor. The vote follows a multi-year study and an extensive community advisory process. “Grand Avenue has always been a vibrant Saint Paul main street,” said Nicolle Goodman, Director of Planning and Economic Development. “These amendments will help ensure Grand Avenue continues to be a vibrant, walkable place for many years to come.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gqqhXNhE
