Under the direction of the Court Administrator, a Court Specialist is a highly responsible and confidential worker in the judicial system, serving as a court liaison, to attorneys, litigants, other court personnel and other agencies through receiving, investigating, and responding to sensitive phone calls, inquiries, complaints, and emails. They perform and manage complex administrative duties to support the Court’s Judge and Director in court operations and functions in local ordinance, civil and criminal matters. This voluntary body, established by city council, consists of 11-people appointed to advise the city council and staff on decisions related to tourism strategic planning, marketing, visitor management, regional tourism efforts and any other tourism related matters assigned to it by the city council. The TAB represents a broad range of perspectives and opinions. The term of service for this seat will be effective immediately for the remainder of the current term which expires on December 31, 2025. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING AT OAK CREEK IS OPEN! This new creekside pathway below the SR 179 bridge leads pedestrians and cyclists underneath SR 179, reducing conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles in a highly visited area of town. The pathway not only features the incredible riparian area, but also includes interesting architectural features like a water wheel, gathering space, and a medicine wheel. In collaboration with the Arizona Department of Transportation, we will conduct periodic testing to determine if additional changes to the street level SR 179 pedestrian crossing are needed which could include closing it during busy times, installing a signalized crosswalk, or closing it completely. We hope the community enjoys this new pathway!
