The closer he got to graduation for his CPA, he realized it wasn’t the right fit. “I kind of figured out … I don't know that I want to sit behind a desk every day.” Instead, he found his calling with the City of St. Peters Police Department, where Officer Blattel was recently named “Officer of the Quarter” for all he does for our community. “If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t make any changes,” he said. Meet Brian: Retired after 35 years as a firefighter … and still Making a Difference!   Just two days after leaving his first career, Brian started a new career with the City of St. Peters. Three years ago, she left her corporate healthcare job for a customer service role to Make a Difference in the St. Peters Streets Department. Abby also set aside her business painting portraits of people’s beloved pets “because life got in the way.”   At St. Peters, Abby found a great new career AND rekindled her passion for painting.   Abby learned about the art shows at our Cultural Arts Centre, and with some encouragement from Jill at the Arts Centre, she picked up her paint brush again and entered her work into some shows.
