Human Resources Professionals Day 2024  The City of Waco Human Resources team celebrated HR Professionals Day with time focused on connection, learning, and recognition of their impact on City culture, employee well-being, and overall organizational success. This year's theme, "Communication, Connection, and Commitment," emphasized the importance of effective communication, connecting through team building, and commitment to aligning with the City's values. We are so lucky to have a team of such amazing HR Professionals!

Women in Policing – Waco PD spent some time in Frisco for a 30X30 Initiative “Picture Yourself Behind the Badge.” Chief Victorian and Commander Thompson spoke on panels during the event and our recruiting team got time to share what great work Waco PD is doing to advance women in policing! The Waco Police Department has taken the 30X30 pledge, which means we are working to increase women recruits to 30% by 2030. Currently only 12% of police officers, in the country, are women. We are here to remind those who have a desire to serve and protect their community that they have a chance here at Waco PD! #wacotexas #wacotx #wacopolice
