Our recent Second Saturday Workday at McKinney Green Gardens was a success! 🌿 Volunteers worked hard to enhance the garden’s upkeep while supporting our goals in water conservation and stormwater education. This event was in association with McKinney’s Office of Environmental Sustainability and McKinney Parks and Recreation. We focused on native plants, crucial for water conservation and local biodiversity. Special thanks to the Blackland Prairie Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists for their expert guidance, and to Home Depot Store #6809 & Scotts Miracle-Gro for their generous donations of soil, mulch, and essential equipment. There are two more workdays: Oct 12 and Nov. 9. Join us! https://lnkd.in/gHyYDsdu
