🎉CONGRATULATIONS ALERT 🎉 We're ecstatic to announce that Heather Holzinger has been promoted to the role of city treasurer, effective today! This 'official' news comes following the retirement of former City Treasurer Dana Strayer after 26 years of service. Heather has been with us since 2007, beginning her journey as an account clerk with the Water department before being promoted to account supervisor in 2012 and budget analyst in 2017. Prior to working at the City, she garnered financial management experience from previous roles with Rehman Robson, Midland Area Homes, and the County of Midland. Heather holds both associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Davenport University and is a member of the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association. She recently completed her first year of the three-year Michigan Certified Professional Treasurer program through Michigan State University Extension and is a previous City Strive Award recipient for Teamwork in June 2023.
