This past week we were at WWTR in St. Louis with Outerkind and NASCAR for the NASCAR Kids Zone. While we always enjoy ourselves at the Kids Zone, it is moments like this that I emphasize to our team of brand ambassadors staffing the stations. For a moment you get to watch a father and son or father and daughter play, laugh, and race each other. For 15 minutes that dad has forgotten all the money he has just spent to go to that race and has forgotten he was at a racetrack because he is wrapped up in the moment with his kid at the NASCAR Kids Zone. I use dads as an example because I am a father of 3 and we all get consumed in our work and what is going on to keep our households going and it is always our kids that don't get the one on one of quality time that we should be giving them each day. While all three of my kids are grown and out of school it does make me smile each time I see a dad on the ground playing or at the LEGO area racing his child to build a race car then running to the ramp to race each other down it. These are the moments that kids never forget and we get to play a small part in making that special moment for the kids between them and their parents and their experience at a NASCAR race. It’s been fun managing this activation for Outerkind and NASCAR last year and this year. If you haven’t had a chance to stop by and see us yet this year bring your kids by and say hi to us. When we have some downtime we still get some things done. After dropping off NASCAR Experience SL100 stage at Texas Motor Speedway we made a maintenance appointment at the Chevrolet dealership in Grapevine, TX to have routine work done (oil change and tire rotation). While our equipment is all 2024 we still need to do the routine stuff everyday to ensure our partners never have down time when we have their assets with us being transported to events. Thank you Classic Chevrolet for getting us right in.
