We've been heads-down making progress on a long list of enhancements that make Clay faster, more intuitive, and delightful. We've shipped 100+ refinements at all parts of our stack. It's a demonstration of our commitment to quality and getting the details right. 🔍 New search terms We've rolled out a slew of new search terms to help you find exactly who you're looking for: • updated:>2024-10-05 finds contacts who were updated or modified before or after a certain date • If you're on a team workspace, my connections will show you only people you know • All operators now support negation, so you can find the inverse of a particular search. For example,-source:phone to find contacts for whom you don't have a phone number • missing:name to find contacts who don't have a name • source:facebook to find contacts with a certain type of source (i.e. people a Facebook URL, etc.) • sources:>3 to find contacts with a certain number of sources (i.e. people with multiple email addresses, etc.) 💻 Mac menubar options We've added beautiful new menubar options to our Mac app to make common actions even easier. Easily toggle between Home, Search, People, Notes, and more. (Coming soon to Windows!) Plus many more big improvements — view the full list at clay.earth/new If we've missed something, we'd love your input! Even if it's a small paper cut we'd love to know, just email us at care@clay.earth.

I've been asked in the past how I keep up so well with all my contacts... I was asked because... I send birthday gifts and thank you notes... I call with no agenda... And I follow up with people when I remember they had a need... (In the past, this was called good ole' networking but that word has been butchered into "getting people to buy my thing or do me a favor in-person") My answer was simple... "An Excel Sheet" It was "cumbersome" and I had to remember to check it and plan in advance and all that good stuff but I KNEW there had to be something better... I looked and looked and tried different CRM's but they were all "salesy" and took way too long to understand and honestly they just did too much BUT... That all changed 2 weeks ago when I found Clay It's finally doing what I wanted without trying to turn everything into a "deal". I don't have any affiliation with the software I just wanted to share. It's where i'm transferring everything. If you've ever wanted to be the kind of friend who remembers important dates of people that matter to you I can't recommend this personal CRM enough.

Fresh off of OpenAI's exciting announcements last week, we're thrilled to announce a major update to Nexus, your AI-powered copilot in Clay. Nexus is now smarter, faster, and more helpful at searching your network and assisting with things like drafting emails & taking notes: Since introducing Nexus and our ChatGPT plugin, we've spoken with many members who have integrated them into their daily workflow as one of their most-used AI tools. Your feedback was instrumental in shaping this update and making Nexus even better. Whether it's searching your contacts before a big meeting or drafting thoughtful follow-ups and intro emails, you've shown us how transformative an intelligent relationship copilot can be. Across the board, we've improved Nexus to be smarter and faster than ever: ⚡ 2-5X Faster Responses - Nexus now returns results 2-5x faster, so you can get the info you need without delay. 📝 Take Notes & Add Contacts - Jot down details about a contact right from your chat, or add new contacts to Clay by simply providing an email or phone number. 💬 Chat Away - Nexus remembers more of your conversation history, allowing for more natural and productive exchanges. 🙋 Ask for More - Ask Nexus to elaborate about someone ("tell me more about Jane") or to provide additional results to your queries ("give me 5 more results"). 💡 More Info on Contacts - Nexus now has access to even more information about your contacts, like when you first met, to fuel its responses. 🍓 Improved Reasoning - Nexus is much better at understanding when someone is a fit for what you're asking for. These changes are LIVE now in Nexus and our ChatGPT plugin. As always, no data is processed or sent to third parties unless you explicitly use Nexus — you can learn more in our Library here: https://lnkd.in/euGBAi4P

Much love to Nate Thompson for introducing me to Clay as a personal CRM. It had become evident that my previous "system" would perpetuate the cycle of missed opportunities to connect with good people. No app will change that magically, but I'm sadly driven by data-driven embarrassment 🤷♂️ Bonus messaging for the marketing folks at Clay (free of charge!): "By empirically proving just how pathetic you are at staying in touch with the people you enjoy the most, we will make you a better human."

We're excited to announce that Clay now integrates seamlessly with Apple Shortcuts! This integration allows you to create custom workflows that incorporate Clay's features into your daily routines, making it easier than ever to stay connected and organized. With the new Clay actions in Shortcuts, you can now automate tasks like composing notes, creating contacts, opening specific notes, and performing searches within Clay. For example, you could create a shortcut that automatically composes a note in Clay after a calendar event, so you never forget to jot down important details from your meetings. Or set up a shortcut to quickly search for contacts in a specific group before an event. The available actions include Compose Note, Create Contact, Open Note, and Search. These versatile commands open up a world of possibilities for customizing your Clay experience. We can't wait to see the creative ways you'll use these new actions! We've also redesigned our Related People section so it appears on even more profiles, helping you uncover hidden connections and expand your network effortlessly. Related People uses Clay's advanced algorithms to identify people with similar backgrounds or shared connections. It's perfect for discovering potential introductions, finding candidates for job opportunities, or simply exploring the interconnected nature of your network. The Anti-Consultant for Sales-led SaaS Scaleups → Clarity, No BS, Results | I’ll reveal your latent potential, remove your growth barriers, and commit to impact | Author of The Remarkable Effect | Client stories in About
How can your B2B SaaS business grow purely on Word of Mouth? A question I explored in my interview with Matthew Achariam, Co-CEO of Clay Earth. Here are my 7 highlights: 1 - Be a student of the market before going in: Deeply understand all available tools before building to get inspiration. 2 - Don't just copy what others are doing; understand the trade-offs people make to achieve their outcomes. 3 - Be clear about who you're 'prosumers' are who'll benefit from your solution. 4 - Before building - try to disprove your idea, instead of trying to prove it. 5 - Create a Minimum Remarkable Product, not a Minimum Viable Product. Show you care in every aspect of your product experience. This builds trust and advocacy. 6 - Find differentiation in areas that common tools happily ignore - for example privacy or trust. 7 - Focus on creating a movement - attracting people who believe what you believe, and want to be part of something different. Be Remarkable. Now, if you nodded at any of the 7 highlights, you’re on track. But if you didn’t and you want a soundboard to bounce back at, you know where to find me. P.S.
