Cleveland Metroparks reposted this
Today: we’re proud to announce, with our partners Cleveland Metroparks, acquisition of 13.6 acres of land for our soccer stadium. What greater partner to create this purposeful space with than the Metroparks? Watch our latest rendering to get a sense of where to meet us on Game Days. Located in downtown Cleveland & across the street from Progressive Field, our stadium location will be ideal for public trails, transportation infrastructure, green space, plazas & planned trail connections. Our stadium is designed for 12,500 fans, expandable to 20,000. Thanks to our fans: we already have close to 15,000 season ticket pledges for our prospective women’s professional soccer team. We’re excited that this stadium will be the first public-private partnership for a stadium built for a women’s pro sports team. We also intend for this project to spark development south of the highway and complete the 30-year-old vision of the Gateway District. Step by step, we’re getting closer to this dream team every day.
