We are excited to share that Sarah Rooney from Collective Focus will be our guest at our next 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 this Wednesday! 💫 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼-𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀. She handles logistics, manages finances and fundraising efforts, and supervises daily operations and data collection. She brings experience in wealth redistribution and coalition building to the organization. 👏 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀. This Earth Day 🌎 our organization reaches its 3rd anniversary, and a huge milestone -- we hit over $1 million worth of free food, clothing and essential resources redistributed through the Resource Hub! 📈 In the last year this growing team of volunteers rose to new heights to: ☑ meet an 85% increase in attendees to our space and programs ☑ redistribute a 51% increase in clothing and items ☑ rescue 35% more food that would otherwise be wasted We are incredibly proud of this team and thankful to our amazing supporters! We made it to 60% of our holiday fundraising goal this past week, as we distributed hundreds of toys and coats ahead of our break. We’re incredibly grateful for the support of Google employees in collecting and distributing coats with us. We are officially 50% funded for 2024 operations! We are raising $50,000 to assure that the rent and utilities of the Resource Hub are covered in 2024. In just the last week, this space hosted the redistribution of 1,000 pounds of clothing and items through our free store. This amazing team brought our overall impact to over 325,000 pounds of vital goods like food, clothing and diapers worth $900,000 distributed to 70,000 families.
