The Southern Ute Indian Tribe (SUIT) and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe (UMUT) lands are located in the extremely remote Four Corners region, in the southwest corner of Colorado. Due to their remote, rural nature, residents struggle to connect to good internet. They’ve been left behind while urban parts of the state move forward with modern technology. But there’s good news: SUIT and UMUT both received federal funding to improve internet infrastructure, connecting them to high-speed broadband for generations to come.
