Pharos Aerospace formed by a team of five students from the The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, set out to explore dual-use architecture and defense innovation. Sponsored by the Missile Defense Agency, the team tackled challenges related to securing communications for missile defense systems. Their focus turned to the pressing issue of space debris, particularly lethal non-trackable debris in low Earth orbit. Recognizing these threats to satellite-to-ground communications, they identified significant gaps in existing technologies and pursued innovative solutions to safeguard these critical systems. Congratulations to Stanford's H4D AutonomyOne Team on being awarded $12,570 from the Impact Fund. This funding supported a student trip to Krakow, Poland, where the team participated in a hackathon to advance their work on creating an EMS monitoring and mapping tool. Their project aims to improve the effectiveness of sUAS operations in Ukraine and beyond, addressing a critical need for the future. Currently, Sean is involved in innovative projects that integrate cutting-edge technology, which has made significant strides in streamlining the US Army Visitation Stations' process with an innovative app. Sean emphasized the importance of not only building the app, but also maintaining continuous military connections. He highlighted that being part of H4D provided essential support for their project, including covering tech costs and legal fees during software development.
