    We are excited to welcome Sarah Hill, PhD, as our Chief Mission Integration Officer for CommonSpirit Health’s Mountain Region. In this role, Sarah will ensure that CommonSpirit’s Mission, Vision and Values are integrated in all aspects of our ministry across Colorado, Kansas and Utah. Sarah most recently served as the Regional Vice President of Mission Integration at Christus Santa Rosa Health System and The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, Texas. Before joining Christus in 2020, Sarah worked at Ascension Health, where she held several positions throughout her 13 years there, including Chief Mission Integration Officer. Sarah will be moving to Colorado with her husband, Chris, who is a nurse, and their dog. Sarah and Chris love to travel and spend time outdoors - hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing and skiing. Sarah’s professional experience and expertise as well as her personal interests will be a perfect fit in our Mountain Region. Welcome, Sarah!

    We're pleased to share that Timothy Bode, MD, MBA, CPE, has been named Chief Medical Officer for CommonSpirit Health's Mountain Region, effective November 18. As CMO, Dr. Bode will oversee our clinical operations and excellence, helping to ensure our patients throughout Colorado, Kansas and Utah receive the highest level of safe, quality care. Dr. Bode is an experienced and thoughtful healthcare leader. Since 2018, he has served as Chief Clinical Officer at Ascension St. Vincent’s in Birmingham, Alabama, a role that included overseeing clinical care and outcomes at multiple acute care hospitals and ambulatory care sites. Dr. Bode has extensive experience leading clinical quality and patient safety while aligning clinical operations toward high reliability. Dr. Bode previously was the Regional CMO at Ascension St. Thomas in Nashville, Tennessee, and he has held various other leadership roles, including SVP & CMO at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. We are excited to welcome Dr. Bode to our incredible CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region team!

    We are pleased to introduce Paul R. Ross as our Vice President, Philanthropy for CommonSpirit Health's Mountain Region. Paul is responsible for the strategic, fundraising, and operational leadership of our local foundations across Colorado, Kansas, and Utah. Paul has led philanthropy efforts for a wide variety of organizations over the last 23 years. Most recently, he was a Region Vice President for SSM Health based in St. Louis, MO, where he oversaw foundations across the St. Louis Metro as well as in mid-Missouri and Southern Illinois.     We're pleased to announce Katherine Brooks as Division Vice President and Region General Counsel for CommonSpirit Health's Mountain Region, which includes our hospitals and care sites across Colorado, Kansas and Utah. Katherine previously served as Senior Counsel, Legal Operations for the Mountain Region. Before joining CommonSpirit, Katherine spent a decade with University of Colorado Health, where she served as Associate General Counsel to the 3,000-provider medical group and its board of directors, advising on a wide variety of legal matters. Prior to that, Katherine was Associate Counsel at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and a Corporate Responsibility and Privacy Officer for Centura Health. She received her juris doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and she completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at the University of Illinois. Congratulations, Katherine!

  • We are thrilled to share that Julie Strittmatter is our new Chief Human Resources Officer for CommonSpirit Health's Mountain Region. Julie is responsible for overseeing our HR management, operations and practices across Colorado, Kansas and Utah. Julie, who had served as our interim Chief Human Resources Officer since July, has extensive experience as a human resources leader and comes with more than two decades of knowledge from working in the healthcare space. In addition to serving in the Mountain Region interim role, she was most recently CommonSpirit's System Vice President of People Operations, Mergers/Acquisitions and Service Lines and Integration. Julie is a passionate, thoughtful leader, and we are excited to have her join our leadership team and help us achieve our mission of making the healing presence of God known. Congratulations, Julie!

  • We are pleased to announce that Tadd Richert has been named Chief Financial Officer for CommonSpirit Health's Mountain Region, where he will be responsible for building a strategic approach to financial stewardship for CommonSpirit’s operations and growth opportunities in Colorado, Kansas and Utah. Tadd is a compassionate, detail-oriented, and talented leader who believes in our sacred mission and understands how we best operate to make the healing presence of God known in our world. A familiar and trusted colleague to many across CommonSpirit, Tadd has held a variety of leadership roles within our organization over the past 20 years. For the last six years, he has faithfully served the Mountain Region and been an invaluable partner within CommonSpirit’s broader Operational Finance team. Tadd most recently served as the interim CEO at St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs. Since joining the Mountain Region in 2018, Tadd has held various finance roles, including Group Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance for Acute Care. Congratulations, Tadd!
