It has officially been 6 months since Communities Care began operating, and what a journey it’s been!🥳💜 We’ve had the incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our community. Although the first spark of the idea came in February, it wasn’t until late April that we hosted our first kindness drive. Since then, we’ve come such a long way, collaborating with many wonderful organizations and volunteers to bring about change. In just 6 months, we’ve: - Distributed over 1,200 kindness kits filled with essential items and handwritten notes of encouragement, - Provided over 500 meals and drinks to those in need, - Held more than 50 volunteer gatherings to engage and inspire our community, - Expanded our reach beyond Canada to Ethiopia, now operating in two countries! - Hosted workshops and community events to educate youth about important issues affecting our community We truly couldn’t have achieved this without our incredible partners and the community that continuously supports us. Communities Care is a youth-led initiative, powered by young people, for young people. This is just the beginning of our mission to inspire hope and show the power of kindness. We have many exciting things coming up, so make sure to follow us and check out our website (Communitiescare.org) to learn more!🤗
About us
Founded in 2024, Communities Care is a youth-led nonprofit grassroot organization in Canada. It is dedicated to bringing youth together in our community, tackling barriers that young people face, and providing support and resources. Since our establishment, we've embarked on numerous endeavors, touching the lives of over 700 young individuals through various events and drives. We are not just advocates for youth; we are youth ourselves. What sets us apart is our youth-centric approach. Together, we believe in the transformative power of community and the ripple effect of kindness. Our journey is not just about numbers; it's about the stories behind each act of kindness, the faces of those we've helped, and the hope we've ignited in their hearts. Join us as we continue our mission to inspire, uplift, and empower youth, one heartfelt gesture at a time.

We're excited to share that we've donated 250 Kindness Kits to youth in shelters and the local community in Toronto's Moss Park area, in partnership with Communities Care. These kits, packed with essentials and handwritten kindness notes were made possible by our Chain Reactions attendees, volunteers and generous donors: Idahoan Foods, Riverside Natural Foods Ltd. (Home of MadeGood), Ventura Foods and TELUS. Small acts of kindness make a big impact and we're proud to #GiveWhereWeLive. Learn more about our community initiatives at https://hubs.ly/Q02SR8DX0

We had the absolute honor of being invited for a personal tour at CIBC Square🙌🏾💜 We were invited by Hines to check out the space and learn more about the important work being done in infrastructure and innovation over the next decade. The tour highlighted many key aspects, from giving back to the community to building a more sustainable and efficient future, along with other wonderful initiatives. This experience was incredibly meaningful for our team. We deeply appreciated the wise advice shared with us by our amazing tour guide and our brother, Ermias. It means the world to us that our work is being acknowledged at this level. With the will of GOD, believe me when I say this is just the beginning of our collaboration to make our community a better, friendlier place. There Is A Power In Kindness💜

Community, we need your hep in writing kindness notes for our upcoming Back-to-School Kindness Drive!📝💜 We will be distributing kindness bags to youth in need across different schools in the city. As everyone knows, one of the key parts of our kindness kits and bags is the heartfelt kindness note that we include, written by members of the community. Please click here ( https://lnkd.in/gSHr2yGP) to submit your kindness note to be included in our upcoming kindness bags, which will be given to youth in need. Submissions for the kindness notes end this Friday, September 20th. Feel free to share this with your friends, and if you have more than one positive kindness message, you’re welcome to submit as many as you’d like. Thank you, community, for helping us continue to make an impact and spread kindness. A small act of kindness and a simple word can go a long way, and when we unite, we can bring about a bigger change in our community as there is a power in kindness!
