Our Employment Services program had an amazing time touring Target in St. Peters for the 4th year in a row! Huge thanks to Reba and everyone on the team that showed us the ins and outs of the store and let our participants get hands-on with different roles. It was an awesome learning experience for those exploring a career in retail! #NationalDisabilityEmploymentAwarenessMonth #community

Community Living is proud to be a United Way Safety Net Partner! What does that mean? The United Way of Greater St. Louis annual fall campaign provides stable funding throughout the year to 160+ local nonprofits like Community Living, Inc. 💛 Through our Safety Net partnership, we help create a strong foundation for our region, now and for generations to come. Community Living employees will be participating in the campaign over the next couple of weeks by coming together and making donations to play fun games and raffles. Last year, Community Living employees donated over $10,500 and we were given over $227,600 in funds from United Way. These funds allow us to provide a “safety net” for our community by offering services for people with disabilities. We are so grateful to be a United Way supported agency! Annie’s journey at Community Living began when she was a college intern studying social work before deciding to go a different route. “I did my internship with Community Living and quickly knew where I needed to be,” she says. “That was right here working with the coolest population of people.” She accepted a role as a Coordinator in the Support Services for Adults program where she fell in love with the people she worked with and those she supported. Today, Annie manages the Center and is taking steps to become a better manager and mentor. “She’s a strong, positive leader who leads by example to bring out the best in the team," said Jenn, Director of Support Services for Adults. "She’s an absolute joy to work with.” https://lnkd.in/gz8tDFK2
