At our annual board meeting, we took time to recognize and honor outgoing board members Martin Ganzer, Jon Novak and James Pianalto. All served on various board committees over the years, and Pianalto also served as treasurer, vice chair and chair since joining the board in 2004. We are incredibly grateful for their guidance, leadership and insight over the years and look forward to having them stay on as honorary members. We were extremely excited to break ground for the future home of the Dr. Fred Frese Residential Center, a step-down center that will provide a supportive and nurturing landing spot for those departing in-patient psychiatric hospitalization and preparing to return into the community. We are incredibly grateful for the partnership with the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services, County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board and the other community partners who have helped bring this much-needed facility to the beautiful campus of Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare. We are grateful to be a vital part of this community support network in the name of Dr. Frese, who was such a force for progress, advocacy and understanding in the mental health community. We thank the members of his family who shared in this occasion. We are eager for the center's opening next year! #communitysupport #mentalhealth #groundbreaking
