  • In celebration of our birthday month - God’s Love was founded on May 1st, 1985 - we collaborated with Tony Award Winner Bonnie Milligan, along with Broadway stars Arielle Jacobs, Bradley Gibson, and Zachary Noah Piser to create “Delivering Love,” our latest music video! Our parody of “Seasons of Love” from the legendary musical RENT calls back to the AIDS crisis in New York City, when God’s Love was founded to feed those who were homebound with AIDS. Having grown to cook and home-deliver more than 4 million meals annually, we address over 200 individual diagnoses with our medically tailored meals. Our core commitments have remained at the heart of who we are: delivering meals to everyone who need us, never having a waitlist, and delivering meals the next delivery day. With you and your support, every minute and every season, we are delivering love to our clients and their families. ❤️ Help us deliver love by donating or volunteering today. If you know someone in the NYC area who could benefit from our free, medically tailored meals, please reach out to us at GetMeals@glwd.org. Thank you to our amazing cast, crew, and God's Love staff and volunteers! Director: Erich Bergen Assistant Director: Emmett Findley Director of Photography: Peter Pavlakis Production assistants: Alexander Gilkey and Caren Pinto

#TBT to the AMAZING 9th Annual Love Rocks NYC concert benefitting God's Love We Deliver. This year, God's Love generously donated a portion of their annual fundraiser Food is Medicine Coalition agency Project Angel Food in LA as a response to the devastating wildfires. I was thrilled to attend with Richard Ayoub, PAF's CEO, Karen Pearl, our previous FIMC Chair, and Candy Bonder, God's Love's former COO. ❤️ One thing I love about our Coalition is how our agencies support one another. #community #foodislove

  • After retiring from his law firm in London, Michael returned to the States to care for his parents who had both fallen ill. Soon after, both of them passed. Michael had grown up watching his parents volunteer in the kitchen at his church. Inspired by their work and with newfound time on his hands, Michael began looking for a place to volunteer. Michael started slowly volunteering at God's Love We Deliver, but quickly found himself volunteering four afternoons per week in our kitchen. He also delivered meals all over New York City with a friend who had a car. Michael continues this volunteer work today, establishing friendships with his fellow weekly volunteers and introducing corporate groups to their new tasks. Michael has thrown himself into other support for God's Love, having joined our #LegacySociety, a group of individuals who have chosen to include God’s Love in their estate plans. When asked what inspires him, he recalls the Gospel of Luke: “To whom much is given, much is expected in return.” We're grateful to Michael for all the ways he supports our clients and their families, today and in the future! • Yesterday, we joined our Food is Medicine Coalition colleagues from across the nation in Washington D.C. for Food Is Medicine Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill! 🍏 We spoke with the offices of Representative Nicole Malliotakis, Representative Tom Suozzi, Representative Nick LaLota, and Senator Cory Booker about the work we are doing to serve our clients in their areas. We asked for their support on the bipartisan MTM bill, saving money and lives by expanding access to MTMs through a Medicare Pilot to address the link between diet, chronic disease, and the health of Medicare enrollees and people with disabilities. Research shows that access to food is medicine interventions results in lower cost of care, better health outcomes and happy patients. We know that MTMs improve clients' health outcomes across a variety of severe and chronic health conditions. Expanding access to MTMs saves money by addressing the link between diet, chronic disease, and health of our community members. Our advocacy continues year-round, both on and off Capitol Hill — stay tuned to hear more! #MTMsWork #FoodIsMedicine #MedicallyTailoredMeals #MTMBill
